How to Connect with a Builder Rep
You can connect with any builder rep on New Home Buddy in two easy ways:
Option A: From your Agent Portal
- Click Builder Connections in the left-hand menu.
- Search by name and click Connect
- You’ll both receive an email notification once the connection is made!
Option B: From a Builder Rep’s Personal Link
If a rep you want to work with sends you their personal link, just click the Connect button at the top near their contact info:
If you’re not logged in, you’ll be prompted to create or sign in to your Agent account. Once signed in, they’ll be added as a connection in your portal:
💡 Why it matters: You no longer have to guess who’s assigned to a listing or wait to track someone down. You choose your contact.
What Happens When You Connect
Once you’re connected, that builder rep becomes your go-to contact on the homes they can actually sell.
New Home Buddy reads each builder’s own selling rules and applies them for you. So the name you see is the name of someone who can really help with that home.
That means:
- Their name and info appear inside your Agent Portal, not your buyer’s view
- Leads route directly to them when you or your client submit a contact form on one of their homes
- ou work with a real person who knows that community, instead of a generic form
Most builders let their reps sell every inventory home in the division, plus the plans in their assigned communities.
So in most cases, your connected rep still shows up on the majority of what you see. Now it’s the right majority.
You’ll see their contact card only inside your portal. Your buyer still sees only your info when they browse your links.

Quickly View That Rep’s Homes
Want to skip filters and just view all homes from a rep you’re connected with?
Just go to Builder Connections and click View Homes on their contact card. This pulls up an Agent Search built specifically for you — showing the inventory and plans that rep can sell, in real time.
It’s a fast way to check what they have available without creating a new saved search or applying filters:

The “Quick Notify” Button (Your New Favorite Tool)
Sometimes you don’t have time to fill out a tour request or form—you just need to get a builder rep’s attention.
That’s exactly what the Notify [Builder Rep Name] button does.
When viewing any home or plan:
Here’s how it works:
- Click Notify [Builder Rep Name]
- An email goes directly to the rep(s) you’re connected with at that builder
- It includes: the specific home or plan, your contact info, and a prompt to reach out
