Traffic Charts — See the shape of your traffic

Track your division’s impressions, home clicks, and contacts over time. Spot spikes, measure the impact of promotions, and see how you’re trending compared to last period — without pulling a single report.

Who can access this? Admins, Managers, and Portal Viewers. Sales Reps use the Builder Portal and don’t have Sales Portal access. Learn more about user roles →

What Traffic Charts Show

Traffic Charts live on the My Division tab of your Sales Portal Dashboard. They show three key metrics for your division — each as a stat card with the total and percent change — plus a line chart that plots your impressions day by day.

This isn’t quarterly reporting data. It’s real-time activity, refreshed continuously, so you can see what’s happening right now and how it compares to the period before.

The Three Metrics

Traffic Charts track three things — your top-of-funnel visibility, your mid-funnel engagement, and your bottom-of-funnel intent.

👀

Home Impressions

How many times your homes showed up in search results across New Home Buddy. Your top-of-funnel visibility number.

👆

Home Clicks

How many times buyers and agents clicked through to view one of your homes. Clicks tell you which listings are pulling people in.

📥

Contacts

Any action that results in a direct email or phone contact — form submissions, home favorites, or viewing contact info.

How to Read the Stat Cards

Each stat card shows two things: the total for your selected time period, and the percent change compared to the previous period of equal length.

If you’re looking at the Last 30 Days, the comparison is to the 30 days before that. Switch to Last 7 Days and it compares to the 7 days prior. A green up arrow means the metric improved. A red down arrow means it dropped. At a glance, you’ll know whether your division is trending up or down.

Here’s roughly what your stat cards look like in the Sales Portal:

Traffic Charts include Impressions, Clicks, and Contacts. The charts also show the percentage change up or down compared to the previous period of time you’ve selected.

How the Trend Chart Works

Below the stat cards, you’ll see a line chart plotting your Home Impressions day by day over the selected period.

Hover over any point on the chart to see the exact number for that day. This is helpful when you want to pinpoint when a spike happened — maybe it lines up with a new community opening, a social media campaign, or an incentive promotion.

Why this matters: You’re not just looking at totals anymore. You can see the shape of your traffic. A steady line tells a different story than a single spike followed by a drop. Patterns reveal what’s working and what was a one-time event.

Filtering by Division and Time Period

The Traffic Charts update when you change either of these two Dashboard controls:

  • Division selector — If you manage multiple divisions, switch between them at the top of the Dashboard. Each division shows its own traffic data.
  • Time period buttons — Choose from Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days (default), Last 60 Days, or Last 90 Days.

For a deeper look at how filters work across the whole Dashboard, see the Dashboard Overview.

Want to compare your traffic to the broader market? NHB Sales Portal Pro unlocks NHB Market Traffic, which shows per-home averages for impressions, clicks, CTR, and contact rate across your price bracket. Pair the two for the most complete picture of your division’s performance.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your Charts

WEEKLY

Check the 7-day view every Monday

Make it a habit. Traffic moves fast, and a quick glance at the 7-day view can tell you if something needs attention before the week gets away from you.

MONTHLY

Compare periods before big decisions

Heading into a marketing meeting or a pricing review? Switch to Last 90 Days to see the full picture before you commit to anything.

MONTHLY

Look for spikes and dips

A sudden drop in impressions could mean a listing issue, a feed error, or a competitor activity shift. A sudden spike might be tied to a promotion worth repeating.

PRO TIP

Pair it with Builder Rep Performance

If impressions and clicks are up but contacts are flat, check which reps are converting traffic into leads. Your Builder Rep Performance panel has those answers.
