At New Home Buddy, we’re continuing to make it easier for agents and builder sales reps to find, share, and sell new construction homes faster and smarter than ever.
This month’s update brings several new features you’ve been asking for:
- Smarter automation when creating new clients
- More transparency on listing updates (so you’ll always know how fresh a home is)
- Brand-new filters for Half-Acre and One-Acre Lots
- A full Events system now live in every market
- And a cleaner, more personalized look inside your portal

Creating a Client Now Auto-Creates a Client Search
Adding a new client search just got a whole lot easier.
Now, when you create a new client in your Agent or Builder Portal, New Home Buddy automatically creates a Client Search for them–no extra steps required.
How it works:
- Go to the Clients tab.
- Click “New Client”
- Once you hit Save, a Client Search will instantly appear on that client’s details page.
You can then click into the search to review or edit filters based on what they’re looking for, all without having to create one manually.
Why this matters:
- Every new client now has an active, branded search ready to go.
- You’ll immediately start receiving engagement alerts as soon as they browse, view, or favorite homes.
- It’s a simple but powerful automation that keeps your workflow moving–and your pipeline growing.
This update pairs perfectly with the Client Search guide, which walks through advanced filters and real-time alerts.

“Last Checked” and “Last Updated” Added to Every Listing
Wondering how often our listings update? You’ll now see that info front and center.
Every home and plan on New Home Buddy now shows:
- Last Checked – the last time our system synced the builder’s data feed or ran an import.
- Last Updated – the last time something actually changed (like price, photos, or status).
This transparency helps you know how current every listing is — and gives you confidence when sharing homes with buyers.

Here’s how it breaks down:
Builders on Data Feeds
- Last Checked: When the feed last synced (usually within the past 24 hours).
- Last Updated: When any listing details were modified — price, photos, specs, or status.
- Some homes may not show recent updates, and that’s okay — it simply means nothing has changed.
Builders on Manual Imports
- Last Checked (Plans & Inventory): When our team last ran a manual import.
- Last Updated (Plans): When pricing, photos, or other plan details were updated manually.
- Last Updated (Inventory): When the most recent import included updates to that home.
This feature gives agents and builder reps a clearer view of how “live” each listing is – no guessing, no hidden delays.
Half-Acre and One-Acre Lot Filters Are LIVE!
This one’s a game-changer.
If your buyers want space to stretch out — or if your community offers it — this update is for you.
You can now filter by Half-Acre Lots and One-Acre Lots directly in the portal.
How to Find It:
- Click More > Community Amenities
- Check either “Half-Acre Lots” or “One-Acre Lots”
You’ll instantly see large-lot homes and communities across each Texas market — updated daily.
These filters are a hit with families, pet owners, and anyone seeking privacy without giving up convenience.

Events Are Now Live in Every Market!
Our Events system is officially live in both the Agent and Builder Portals — connecting the entire new home community like never before.
You can now:
- View upcoming events in your selected markets (Agent Portal) or division (Builder Portal)
- See grand openings, model tours, CE classes, networking mixers, and more

Spot Your Profile Faster
A small but noticeable visual change: your profile picture is now displayed in the top-right corner of your portal. So if your profile picture is set, you’ll notice it replaces the old generic avatar icon.
This makes it easier to access your account settings, profile info, and your Personal Link options at a glance.
Speaking of which, if you haven’t customized your Personal Link yet, this is the perfect time. It’s your all-in-one branded link for social media, texts, and emails.

Coming Soon: Buyer Needs Requests 🚀
We’re putting the finishing touches on one of our biggest features yet — Buyer Needs Requests.
Agents will soon be able to send a direct “Buyer Need” message to selected builders. Builder Reps who are connected with those agents will receive the request instantly, just like a lead.
Agents: Start connecting with Builder Reps now so you’re ready when this feature launches — those connections will determine who receives your requests first.
Builder Reps: The more agents you’re connected with today, the more Buyer Needs leads you’ll get the moment this feature goes live.
